Master's degree candidate Shah Alam of the Amanda Hodson lab, UC Davis Department of Entomology and Nematology, will present his exit seminar on "Management Strategies and Disease Interactions of Resistance Breaking Root-Knot Nematodes" at 1 p.m., Friday, Sept. 4 in Room 176 of Hutchinson Hall. 

Alam, to receive his degree in September, holds a bachelor's degree in agriculture, Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Bangladesh (2017).

UC Davis doctoral candidate Madison "Madi" Hendrick will present her exit seminar on "Integrated Pest Management in California Field Crops: Challenges in Alfalfa and Rice" on Friday, June 5.

Her seminar is set for 10 a.m. in 366 Briggs Hall. It also will be on Zoom.  

Hendrick, scheduled to receive her doctorate in June, studies insecticide resistance in alfalfa weevil and tadpole shrimp

Adelaine "Addie" Abrams, who will receive her doctorate in entomology at the end of the UC Davis quarter,  will present her exit seminar on "Same Pests, New Tricks: Precision Technologies for Integrative Pest Management of Aphids and Thrips in California Lettuce" on Friday, Feb. 27 at 11:30 a.m. in 122 Briggs Hall.

Doctoral candidate Mia Lippey, an entomologist and ecologist who focuses on using "big data" to understand how global change affects agricultural arthropod communities, will present her exit seminar at  12:10 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 7 in 122 Briggs Hall.

Honey bee specialist Richard Martinez of the E. L. Niño lab will present his exit seminar, hosted by the UC Davis Department of Entomology and Nematology, on Wednesday, Dec. 3 in Room 122 of Briggs Hall.

Eliza Litsey, a former graduate student in the honey bee lab of Elina Lastro Niño, UC Davis Department of Entomology and Nematology (ENT),  will present her exit seminar on "Investigating a Novel Queen Honey Bee Treatment" on Monday, Nov. 4.
